FAQs

First of all…what does a home inspection cover?
A home inspection is a visual examination of a home and its accessible systems and components. A good home inspection should take a few hours and should include observation of the structural components such as roof, foundation, exterior walls, interior walls and floors as well as operation of the plumbing, electrical, heating & cooling systems and built in appliances. Findings should be provided in the form of a comprehensive inspection report which includes an objective evaluation of the home by clearly outlining any defects and potential problems.

What does the report include?
Our comprehensive report, provided onsite, includes detailed findings, a summary of items of concern, digital photos and a home maintenance schedule

How long will it take?
The home inspection should take 3 to 3.5 hours. Some may take longer based on the size, age and condition of the home.
Should I be there during the home inspection?
We recommend our clients be present for their home inspection. Most of our customers arrive at the end of the inspection to discuss and review the findings with the inspector. If you cannot be there or are out of town we are available to discuss your report over the phone.

When do I receive the inspection report?
We strive to deliver your report electronically the day we inspect. Your report will be emailed to you with your own user name and password.

How much will it cost?
Our rates are based simply on the total square footage of the home. Average price is $375.00 for up to 2000 square feet. Additional cost for pool/spa inspection is $100.00. Discuss with your home inspector when scheduling your inspection.

How do I pay?
Payment is made at the time of inspection or online prior to downloading the report. We accept credit cards, checks and cash.
